Rose Award

The Rose Award is a $1000 award to a single female parent head of household. The local recipient is submitted to Zonta International District 10 for consideration of the district award of $1000. Club deadline for submission locally is March 1. The submission should be to Risa Hunter at risahunter820@gmail.com.

STEM Scholarship

This scholarship is offered in the amount of $1000 to a female student attending any accredited college or university with a declared major or minor undergraduate or graduate degree in one of the STEM areas. The local recipient is submitted to Zonta International District 10 for consideration of further awards. Club deadline is July 15th. Local submission should be to Laura Fenton at laurafenton50@gmail.com. Please note that the application is headed 2026 but that is the application we will use for the 2025 and 2026.

YWPA (Young Women in Public Affairs Award)

The YWPA recognizes young women, ages 16-19, for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes, and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. Zonta Club of Fort Smith provides a $500 award. The local recipient is submitted to Zonta International District 10 for consideration of a $1000 award. If selected also at the district level, the recipient receives an additional $1500 from ZI. Ten international recipients are selected from the district receive awards of $5000. Club deadline March 20. Local submission should be to Lori Garvey at lj.lorijean@gmail.com.

Women in Business Scholarship

The Women in Business Scholarship is awarded to a woman (aged 18-35 at the time of application) who presents outstanding potential in the field of business through her undertaking of her business studies. Students must be enrolled in at least the second year of an undergraduate program though the final year of a master’s program at the time the application is submitted. Zonta Club of Fort Smith provides a $1000 scholarship and submits the recipient to Zonta International District 10 for consideration of a $1000 scholarship. Zonta International offers international scholarship of $5000 to the district recipients. Club deadline is July 15th. Inquiries can be directed to Angela Tilley at angelatilley1904@gmail.com.
